Trek Your Way To White – 5 Steps To Brighten Your Smile

Looking for a way to brighten everyone’s day? Try changing something about yourself, like your teeth. Teeth can open doors and close them just as easily. Sure there is nothing that tells us having yellow teeth is bad, that is as long as they are not yellow due to plaque. But lets be honest, most people do not have perfectly white teeth. So don’t worry if you are in the same boat, you are not alone. Fortunately, there are many ways to change your smile and whiten it for a brighter future.Brighten

Step One:

Brush your teeth three times daily! Many people don’t know this, but just because you brush daily does not mean you are brushing away the yellow stains. You have to get the right tool for the job. You don’t hammer with a screwdriver do you? NO! So make sure you get some toothpaste that not only says whitening, but holds the best, most commonly known, whitening ingredient for the job, Hydrogen Peroxide.

Step Two:

You have got to stay away from staining your smile with your everyday food. This means coffee, dark soda, wine, basically anything that is rich in color will only help the yellow. If you must have your coffee in the morning, the best way to stop your teeth from yellowing is to drink it with a straw so it will bypass the teeth.

Step Three:

Stop smoking! No SmokingBesides the major negative health side effects, smoking can and will give you gingivitis, create bloody gums, and stain your entire mouth, from your cheeks to your tongue, to your teeth. If you must smoke, the only way to rid yourself of the horrible staining effects is by smoking through your nose. Just STOP! If you must continue to have your nicotine fix, try and vape. Many people have kicked their habitual smoking sensations with the help of Vaping, though, the jury is still out on whether this is a healthy alternative or not.  Don’t smoke? Great, head down to the next step!

Step Four:

Mouthwash. It is an important daily activity. The official recommendation for using mouthwash is to rinse after your brush. Using mouthwash before you brush is only going to swirl all of those bits of food, hopefully, around in your mouth and not doing to get into the deep crevices of your gums. There are many brands which claim to have whitening, but I recommend Crest 3D Whitening Rinse. However, beware, using this may cause side-effects, so check with your dentist.

Step Five:

After you have done all of the above, you may find that you still are not satisfied with your shade of white. Well in this case, talk to a dentist. They will probably refer you to whitening strips or pastes. For what it’s worth, those strips work but what about the paste? Well, in my personal experience, the paste is messy, less safe and just as effective without the possibility of tasting that crap!

So there you have it! I hope you might have learned something new about your dental health. If you have any further questions on teeth, you should probably ask a dentist, not the internet. Seriously, what is it with people not going to the dentist. I recommend them because they will clean your teeth and scrape away stains that are caused by plaque.
