Top 5 Vacation Destinations In San Diego, California

San Diego has been a destination of mine for the last 15 years because I love digging my toes in the sand, laying out to get a tan, and listening to the soothing sounds of the ocean. But San Diego has much more to offer tourist on vacation than the ocean.

Mission Beach:

Yep, this is a beach, but isn’t life? Mission Beach has more to offer than just sand, sun, and water. At one end you have Crystal Pier, the other, a large, open, beach area with volleyball and basketball courts and in the middle of the two ends, Belmont Park. Belmont Park is a small amusement park with a large wooden roller coaster, bumper cars and much more. If you’re looking for a place to hang out in a family friendly environment, Mission Beach is for you and make sure you go to Mission Bay on friday for the weekly firework show at SeaWorld.

Take the kids away for an epic SeaWorld adventure in beautiful San Diego, California. SeaWorld is a fun place filled with more than sea creatures, there are rides, shows, exhibits, dining and more to make sure everyone has fun. If you decide you want to visit, I suggest looking-up package deals with other amusement parks and save some money.

La Jolla Kayak:

If you want to see more than just the beach I recommend visiting La Jolla. In La Jolla, you can stand on the cliffs, look over the water while the ocean breeze flows through your hair. But what is really fun is renting a kayak. Enjoy your afternoon rowing around bottom of the cliffs or take a guided kayak tour, whatever your preference, La Jolla Kaya has you covered.

San Diego Zoo:

If you are looking for a different kind of family friendly activity while visiting San Diego, you should check out the San Diego Zoo. This zoo is so large and spread out, there is a tour bus that will drive you around to see the 75 animals around the zoo.

Balboa Park:

Enjoy Balboa Park and all of the activities within it by playing a game of volley ball, taking a hike or bike ride, or maybe enjoy your day relaxing in the park. With the parks’ 100 years of history, you can take the Balboa Park Audio Walking Tour and learn the history of San Diego. And if you are into a more relaxing sport, you can always pick up a golf club and play a round or two.

From beaches to museums, there is something for everyone to do in the beautiful San Diego, California. If you are planning on taking a vacation here, you might try going between the months of April and August.
